Many people reject the idea that attending a college or university will benefit them more than real-life experiences. I used to agree until enrolling at CCC and realizing that there IS a world of information and experience to be had that I could never have received had continued without getting myself a formal education.
Today, in the US, middle-income jobs that require little training (factory work, retail, etc.) are moving out of the country which leaves only minimum-wage service positions (McDonald's drive-through, stock-persons, cleaning crews) available to those who have not attained secondary education documentation. It is becoming increasingly more competative for higher-level positions and a college education has become a must if one expects to win one of these valued placements.
